Where We've Been

Amazing Soulcations is a new name, but bringing people together for memorable journeys is something we have been doing for years.

Lee Ann Somers and Being U created retreats, gatherings and tours centered on bringing people together and creating meaningful shared experiences. Her emergent-style facilitation invites people to connect more deeply with themselves while still enjoying beautiful external adventures. She has a special way of finding the magic in between, weaving a higher intention into every experience. David was never the spiritual side of those retreats. His role was much more practical: the travel, hotels, transportation, restaurants, activities, timing and the logistics behind making the experience work.

As the years went on, vacations and adventures began happening alongside the retreats. That was where David's love of travel naturally became a bigger part of the picture. Taking people to his home country of France was especially personal, but the style was always broader than one destination: great food, beautiful places, the outdoors, fine dining one day and something completely adventurous the next.

In every Soulcation, David leaves a little mystery in the itinerary. There is always one adventure you will not know about until you arrive: a helicopter in the Alps, zip lining through the trees, diving in Bali or simply an experience nobody saw coming. Those moments, together with years of traveling with real groups, became the foundation for Amazing Soulcations.

Not every Soulcation is a retreat, and it does not need to be spiritual. If there is a spiritual component, spirituality is not taught; all thoughts, beliefs and patterns are welcome, as are all levels of experience. Sometimes an adventure is good for the soul simply because you went somewhere extraordinary, tried something new and shared it with good people.
